Hawaii Five-0 - Episode 2.18 - Episode Review

Last week's episode was an excellent one, probably the best of season 2. This week we got another bad episode and I'm disappointed again. After getting rid of Lori, I though everything will be ok.

This episode was all about James Caan from the beginning to the end. He was leading the investigation instead of H50. I had the feeling that his character was treated like he'd have been James Caan, the famous movie star and not the ex cop, or the private eye he supposed to be.

At the beginning we had Danno, the worried father who tried to explain to  Grace that all the guys are bad and can't be trusted. Then we had some good McDanno carguments. I really enjoyed it. Then James Caan came into  the picture, he took the lead  and took away all the screen time.  They even let him interrogate and hit the suspect. This was too much, even if he is an ex cop. I totally disagree.

I don't know what others think about this episode, I haven't ready any comments yet but I'm looking forward to see if I'm right or not.

I don't know what else can  I say. Please feel free to comment.

P.S. It was great to see Kamekona again and Max was awesome when the body was stolen :)

Hawaii Five-0 - Episode 2.17 - “Kupale” - Episode Review

I have only superlatives for this episode! Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! This is the best episode of season 2 of lots of reasons.

We really needed this! Thanks for giving us our good old H50 back!

Now let's see the details.

I was really shocked to see Danny making a pig house out of McGarrett's house. I know he's not really attached to things, except his daughter but to make such a mess ... OMG! That's really disgusting.

I was glad to see Mamo again. I like him, he's a really nice person who cares about the island and also for the people. I see Mamo as some kind of uncle of Steve's.

It was also nice to see those warriors in action. This is part of Hawaiian culture, heritage and I'm always grateful to learn something about it.

The most important thing about this episode is the chemistry between the characters. I really missed that.

The carguments and the bromance between Steve and Danno was absolutely amazing, like back in the day. They are really good together and unfortunately Lori took that away from us many times this season.

To see Chin and Kono working together was also a really pleasure for me, not to mention watching the whole H50 and Max at the crime scene. This is our H50.

I have been complaining about the characters not having any personal life any more. Now we could see them all together, including Kamekona (eating shrimp again), Max, Danno's museum lady, Gaby, and Grace. This is how it should be. Running around with guns, chasing and shooting bad guys is not enough. We need to see the character's social life too.

Dear writers. Thank you for finally listening to us.  You could have done it earlier though, would have been better for everyone.

About this week's case: to tell you the truth, I didn't care too much, I was happy to see the core 4 together again. I can't see the case was bad but I've definitely seen better. But then again, I'm not complaining.

By the way, at the end, Steve and Kono ... excellent!!!!!

NCIS LA - Hawaii Five-0 Crossover Spoiler

"Kensi Blye is about to go on an intense emotional journey that’s so big, NCIS: L.A. needed two episodes to tell it.

The first part of the double ep, airing Feb. 21, finds Kensi suspected of murder when a man who was once on her father’s sniper team turns up dead — with much of the evidence pointing to her. “She’s determined to prove her dad’s death was a murder and not an accident, which you will then see if that’s the case or not,” previews Ruah. “She’s angry. She’s very angry about her father’s death. He was the man in her life and we also have a little surprise with another family member of hers, which I won’t say who it is. But there’s big turmoil in her life, and I think she’s close to getting what she wants and suddenly there’s interference.”

Becoming the center of this investigation leaves Kensi feeling “isolated,” says Ruah, despite her team’s support, and she struggles to keep her head straight. “She’s definitely confused when she’s given certain news in the beginning and she tries to put it together — she’s still an agent no matter what. She wants to crack the case. But at the same time, she’s extremely emotionally attached to this case, which can cloud your judgment sometimes,” she says. “There’s a very fine line between an assassin and someone who kills as an agent. There’s a fine line between revenge and doing something you have to do. She’s definitely put to the test with those two things.”

And in case you needed confirmation (this is, after all, an NCIS: L.A. two-parter), here it is: “Part 1 ends with something shocking,” she teases. And she’s not saying what it is."
