Even though I said I won't, I did it! What did I do? Watched an episode from the old Five-0 1968–1980 TV series :) I mean almost watched because my curiosity lasted 13 minutes, after that I've just jumped through the movie just to have an idea how it was McGarrett's life back then.
I don't know about you guys, I might be the only one who did this so now I will try to share with you the things that made me laugh. Yes, that's right, the whole movie made me laugh.
So let's get started then.
Can you imagine Steve McGarrett running around and chasing bad guys in a suit every day? Well, the old McGarrett is wearing a suit and a tie every day. He even has shiny shoes which made me laugh when I saw him running on the sandy beach. The whole scene reminded me of an episode from Rookie Blue where detective Luke Callahan was called „Detective fancy pants” just because he was wearing a suit.
Ladies and Gentleman, the old McGarrett has a secretary who brings him coffee :) Can you imagine Alex O'Loughlin having a hot secretary bringing him coffee? I don't think so :)
He has a nice office with many ladder armchairs. :)
I guess I don't have to mention the lack of hardware and software from the office :)
There is no chemistry between the actors :)
It was strange to see the old H50. Everyone looks so old there …
Finally: I respect the old show, after all it lasted 12 years which is a very long time but thank you very much, I'm more than happy with the new one.
I'm happy watching Alex O'Loughlin running around and chasing bad guys in his sexy T shirt, jumping in the water (almost) naked, looking at Kono like he does and so on.
